Assessment

I provide comprehensive psychoeducational assessments for children and adolescents that reveal each child’s unique learning profile, strengths, and challenges.

During the assessment process, I administer standardized measures to explore areas such as cognitive processing and intellectual functioning, academic achievement, and social, behavioral, and emotional development.

These assessments help parents and teachers gain a deeper understanding of a child’s unique strengths and challenges. They can identify learning disorders, academic underachievement, giftedness, ADHD, or other emotional and behavioral concerns that may be affecting a child’s progress and well-being.

I ensure that each assessment experience is positive and engaging, where children feel comfortable, supported, and confident. Following the assessment, I provide clear and concise feedback, personalized recommendations, and intervention strategies tailored to meet each child’s individual needs.

Therapy

I provide therapy grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), supporting children and teens in understanding the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Through this work, they develop practical skills to manage everyday challenges and build lasting emotional resilience.

My approach to CBT is flexible, creative, and personalized to each client. I have extensive experience helping individuals navigate a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, perfectionism, mood concerns, behavioral difficulties, adolescent stress, and challenges related to self-esteem.

Treatment frequently begins with a parent-only consultation. Ongoing therapy sessions are then conducted with the child/teen, and parents are included regularly for check-ins and progress updates. Sessions for teens and adults can be conducted virtually; however, I prefer in-person sessions for younger children to foster connection and engagement.

I work collaboratively with each client to identify clear goals and regularly review progress. I believe that the strength of the therapeutic relationship is central to meaningful change. At the end of every session, my goal is for clients to leave feeling heard, understood, and equipped with new insights and practical coping tools.
